Who We Are

We are a group of writers based in Cuenca, Ecuador. We meet twice a month, the first meeting is open to the public and the second is private. We encourage members to bring writing supplies - laptops, tablets, or plain old pen and paper.

Why We Are Here

We are a support group, not a critique group. We are comprised mostly of fiction writers but our members also include a few non-fiction writers as well as editors. We are open to all genres.

What Do We Do

Our meetings always start with introductions so no one ever feels ignored. At some meetings we might have a 10-15 minute keynote speaker. At others we may have a Q&A period, roundtable style, where we can discuss plot issues, characterizations, writer's block and more. Depending on the size of the group, we may opt to break into smaller groups for further discussion, especially based upon genre. The final hour will always be writing time.
